Testudo graeca anamurensis

1- 2 Months Old.

Once known as Testudo graeca anamurensis , but now a geographical variant of T. g. ibera. These beautiful Greek tortoises hatch with a golden skirt around the marginal scutes. Some hatch lighter more golden color then others. Overtime as they become adult, they change to a solid jet-black tortoise. Although scientifically they are now just a geographical variant of Ibera, these tortoises are very unique with same skirting appearance as Marginated Tortoises and flatter shell shape. Plastrons are always solid yellow as hatchlings.
